Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The film only makes some kind of sense on its own fantastic level.
Fresh: Without question Smith's most mature film to date, and one of the best (and most bewildering) genre films of 2009.
Fresh: A tense and interesting psychological thriller.
Fresh: A satisfying mind-twister, with an unexpectedly poignant pay-off. You'll see where it's going quite early on, but it still keeps some shocks back for the final act.
Customer Reviews
Don't read other reviews
First of all, I will say not to read other reviews because it gives away the entire movie (thankfully I didn't before watching). Secondly, if you are looking for something a little different, but still is able to tell a story and keep you on edge, then this is the movie for you. Everyone might not "get it", but I felt it came together quite nicely at the end. It's a movie where you have to pay attention to the very begining to understand the ending. Rent and enjoy it, I did, and will probably buy!
A great thriller!!!
Don't let the poster and title percieve you, this movie was excellent. Probably one of
the thrillers ive seen in a while.
Do NOT watch the trailer first! It gives away too much.
I liked this movie, but I might have liked it more if the trailer had not given far too many things away.
There are scenes in the trailer that have a much greater impact if you don't know in advance to expect them when you are watching the movie. More and more trailers seem to be turning into Cliff Note versions of the movies they advertise, showing you so much of the overall movie that you might as well not watch the actual full-length movie itself (Example: Have you sees the trailer for "What Lies Beneath"? Once you do, there is no need to see the movie itself).
If you think you might be interested in "Triangle" you would be better off taking a chance and just renting it without seeing the trailer.
Otherwise, a number of the movie's tricks (including one of the movie's best visual tricks) will be spoiled for you before you even see the movie itself.
