Rotten: A stale, derivative mess that borrows heavily from every zombie and alien movie worthy of imitation, to only ho-hum effect.
Rotten: However visually striking, this Australian film is ultimately as tedious as it is derivative.
Rotten: While the low-budget film serves up a remarkably cost-effective arsenal of wild visual effects, the over-the-top tone gets stale awfully quickly.
Rotten: Away from the killing field, the Spierigs' actors prove themselves to be the most zombie-like, devolving into a din of screechy bickering that'll leave you running for the exits.

Don't let it fool you
Yes this is a B movie. Me and my friend were expecting that when we rented it. What we didn't expect was how funny and offbeat it was.I mean this movie was hillarious. Think Shawn of the dead with more action and less british people ohh and aliens are in there too.
4 1/2 stars: don't listen to these 1 star morons!
This movie was really tight, I loved it! I'm no zombie poser either. I've seen all the great ones. This was WWAAAYYY better than that gore-less Dawn of the Dead remake/insult. It isn't perfect, but it's not terrible! Bet you none of those posers have seen Dead Alive, a movie similar to this. That's even better than this, but this movie's good too. Also has one of the best movie weapons EVER! 3-barreled shotty! 8)
wonderfully corny
If you are like me, you love nothing more than a cheesy australian zombie flick. This definately delivers.
