Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Even viewers with deep knowledge of modern urban planning are likely to learn something from the carefully selected images and thoughtful interviews that make up most of "Urbanized."
Fresh: A lively if schematic overview of city planning at its best and not so best.
Fresh: Hustwit gorgeously enhances the talking-head commentaries of architects, policymakers, and other progressive thinkers with spatially clean, static-camera compositions -- this time in God's-eye panoramas of earth's ant farm.
Fresh: The documentary at times is weighed down by statistics and shop talk, but Luke Geissbuhler's smartly rendered cinematography saves the day.
Customer Reviews
Great movie!
In regards to only the rental being available on iTunes, please note the documentary's website. The movie is on iTunes while still in the theater. Purchase will be available after it is released I assume.
insightful, wonderful documentary
gary hustwit has done it again. in my opinion, this documentary is far better than 'objectified'. i now see my city in a different way! recommended to designers, especially architects who favor politics.
Rental?
Do we only have the option to rent this great film? Currently, we can only rent it in HD or standard format for $6.99, but there's no "BUY" option. With such a steep price, I almost wonder if it's incorrectly labled as a rental. Will it ever be available to purchase?
