Plot Summary
She was an American divorcé; he was destined to be England's king. Based on extensive research, this British drama marks the first time their story has been told from Mrs. Simpson's point of view. Was she a scheming seductress bent on becoming queen, or a woman caught up in events she didn't understand and couldn't stop? Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck) and Stephen Campbell Moore (Bright Young Things) star.

A Never before told story in film
I honestly never thought that they could get Joely Richardson to play that Wallis woman. I think of Richardson as a pretty good actress who always plays the maternal, kind-hearted role in film. I have always thought of Wallis and Edward as Nazi puppets and never really liked them at all for that (even though Edward was a champion for the working class). Yet I can say that this is a decent movie that tells it from Wallis's point of view instead of her detractors, which gives it more of a human quality.
