Right on Rice
This became one of my favorite movies after I saw it for the first time last fall. It's kind of a spin on a romantic comedy, less on the romance and more about the main character, Jimmy, and the people around him. It's super duper funny, and it made me tear up. It's everything you want in a feelgood movie. (It's similar in terms of genre to Juno if that gives anyone an idea of what it's like. Except it's sixty times better.) I also liked that it was a movie about Asian-Americans. I've never seen any American movie that deals with Asians in a plot that doesn't have anything to do with ninjas or whatever. This is one of the best movies I've seen this past year. Definitely worth the 4 or 5 bucks for rent, and why not just spend 10 more bucks and keep the movie, because you'll be seeing it over and over again!
