Great Style
Great song. Great style. The sound of the band is late 70's/early 80's - when dismay ruled the music world. They managed to capture this style without sounding like a remake.
Best Band Around
My favorite National song, if not favorite song ever. The video does it justice, and captures the band's mystique, prowess, and romanticism (the "red-shoes woman" is quite adorable), while seemingly planting tongue firmly in cheek as they admit their music grows on people (note the dancing does not commence until the end...). The National is music with meaning, integrity, and truth.
