Where's the Live Version?

The video is a terrific idea and a nice contrast to the overproduced clutter that we see mostly from top selling artists. However, the song itself has about one quarter of the life and passion as the one live version I have heard floating around on the internet. Why did they tell her to tone it down so much? If your going to do Etta James, do a creative interpretation and add something to the song as she did live, lest her efforts become an unfortunate dispassionate reproduction such as been done by Beyonce. Aguilera is at her finest when furloughed from 'professional' advice and instead sings from her heart and soul.

Initially, it was difficult to see Christina outside of the prism of Britney, whose 1999 success launched the new millennium's teen pop boom, but Christina’s big hits of 1999 — “Genie in a Bottle,” “What a Girl Wants,” “Come on Over” — more than held their own with...
