I can't believe iTunes got this song. Good job, iTunes. This song is from the movie Om Shanti Om. I like how the director (Farah Khan) got an amazing 32 stars in this one song. All the stars were in at least one movie with Shahrukh Khan. This is a great song to have on your iPod. Keep bringing the Indian videos iTunes.
Shahrukh Khan - WOW
Just discovered Bollywood. Happened to see a Bollywood clip in a PBS documentary about India it was of SRK in the Darde Disco scene in OM SHANTI OM - the one in which he was shirtless rising out of that pool of water with his back to the camera in those wet jeans. WOW. As I watch more and more of his movies and videos as well as the Inner and Outer World of Shahrukh Kahn, I see that there is much more to him than meets the eye. What he achieves in his films is very interesting to me from a cultural standpoint. I think it says a lot about the heart and psych of the Indian people. In spite of great poverty, they overcome, remember where they've come from and retain their love for India, their joy and a devotion to the simple beauties of life. The costumes, the dances are fabulous. The sexual aspect of it does not go over the top. That's what I love about his stuff. The women are beautiful and so are the men, but the fun and the joy and love of life are what communicates. It just makes me want to dance and have fun. Thank you SRK. Thank you itunes. Please find the Darde Disco scene (not the remix - the one with SRK in the wet jeans and no shirt!).
Eye-catching!
Farah Khan always makes beautifully colorful item songs. Om Shanti Om was what drew me into Bollywood - without it I wouldn't be a huge Hindi cinema fan or even know who SRK even is. Like stated earlier there are an amazing number of great stars of Indian cinema in this video - it's just plain fun! More picturizations please! :D
