Gary Clark Jr. Shreds Mean Blues Guitar Like The Legends! A Jaw-Dropping Natural Musical Genius!

Finally, people are realizing this brilliant musical young talent that is destined to be a legend of the blues guitar. Gary absolutely shreds the guitar with precision, lightning quickness, and with a genius composer mind. Known about him since Honeydipper (2007) and Hotwire EPs (2008, 2010) and am so happy he is releasing more music.

I saw him live on February 13, 2012 at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle, and they ripped it up! Most of the crowd hardly knew what they were in store for. He shocked everyone. What saddened me was that inly like five us new his music and lyrics. Come on Seattleites! Watch "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" video starring Gary Clark Jr. and Alicia Keys. It's equally as cool as this rockin' video! Well worth the $1.99. thanks iTunes and RIP Steve Jobs! I am an Apple Macintosh since 1984, but I was born in 1981!

As for modern blues rock, if you were a early Black Keys fan and loved The Big Come Up, then you'll love this video and this band. Don't forget to grab the new 4-track EP, Bright Lights. Gary reminds me a lot of Hendrix, Stevie Ray, Clapton, and Char. An amazing group to be mentioned with, but this is no joke folks. He's for real and here to stay.

The 26 year old phenom sensation is influenced by all genres and will be a brilliant artist to watch evolve over his future career. From Blues, Rock, Hip-Hop, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Folk, Grassroots, to Jazz, I think he does it all as evidenced on his new 2012 "Bright Lights" EP, Honeydipper, and at his live shows.

Biography

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Texas guitarist Gary Clark, Jr. has been compared to guitar icons like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and his playing is a powerful and inspired mix of blues roots with contemporary soul and hip-hop, and when he’s rolling at his best, he sounds like nothing so much as a natural hybrid of both the past and the future of the blues. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Clark first picked up a guitar at the age of 12 and spent his teens playing whatever gig he could get in the Austin area, eventually...
