Watershed Event in Music Videos
Once in a while, music videos matter. 'Video Killed the Radio Star,' I'm looking at you. 'Take on Me' by a-ha comes to mind as well. Jackson's 'Thriller.' And so on. Director Robin Scovill's razor-sharp imagining here of Alber's love song is as rich as many feature films, and comes in under four minutes. You watch, this video is going to influence many music videos to come. It knocks over barriers of prejudice and judgment with a flash of brilliant sunlight. In a wry private smile or a single wave of his hand, Matt Alber passionately conveys what our human hearts feel in the throes of "this aching romance." 'End of the World' is the gutsiest career move we've seen in quite a while, and Matt Alber is an original talent. Scruffy, handsome, with a voice that pleads soul to soul. I don't think I'll ever grow tired of seeing or hearing it.
Goosebumps & Tears
The first time I saw Matt's video I cried. Besides being very poignant in today's climate, it is beautifully made and exquisite and speaks to the romantic at heart.
Beautiful
After a crazy day at work and on edge, I first heard this video on Logo, while doing my daily cleaning and had to stop and watch what i was listening to. Wow what a beautiful voice and visuals from which had never before. It made me stop breath in and was memorized, by the end of the video i was so moved I have to rewind it and watch it over again (SAT. System) . Thanks Matt for making my day. I highly recommend buying this video. Ps: my partner loved it as well.
