Customer Reviews

Hi

Yo Rush is by far the best band ever. Put yes if you think they are and no if they arn't!

Phenomenal Musicianship

Rush, how astounding that they've been around for decades and are still producing meaningful music at the cutting edge. Rigorous chops (often in 7/4, 5/4, 7/8 time) coupled with compositional clarity and integrity. While I so fully appreciate what various other bands have done and are trying to do, I doubt that any other today or in history approximates Rush on these collective criteria. (In regard to chops, just watch Geddy's Lee's hands, doing things few on Earth could do; all the while he effortlessly sings and plays keyboards with his feet. Don't even get me started on the musical creativity and dexterity demonstrated by Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart. Incredibly gifted humans, I say.) And this video -- capturing and preserving but one live performance among the thousands Rush has offered to the universe -- is an enjoyable one to watch indeed. In the off chance that you landed here by accident and have never heard a Rush song, my advice: Download this video, then Moving Pictures (full album) and Snakes and Arrows (full album); after you get used to these, there's 2112, Permanant Waves . . . so much to discover for the first time . . . I almost envy you.
