another awesome vid from mgmt..

MGMT is mainly known for having super trippy vids, so i was somewhat surprised when i first saw this music video. It still has that weird chaotic mgmt touch to it though, which is always awesome. it took me a couple times watching it to understand the meaning, but i eventually got the whole ben getting a snake pulled out of his throat thing. i think this video represents the bands new sound for congratulations.. much darker than oracular spectacular and less mainstream electro-pop, which is where i think they probably feel most comfortable..altogether a very creative, well- done video from this band...they never disappoint :)

Electric (F)eel?

I applaud MGMT for the direction they've taken their music and the poignant way they address the issue of balancing their personal aesthetic with commercial success (but seriously guys I could do without being beaten over the head with "cut throat" imagery and shoving electric (F)eel in no man's land).

Simply Stunning

The first time I saw the dog and the heart on their website, I had no idea it would lead to this. This video is halarious and though provoking at the same time. If at first, you don't get it, watch it again and again. How does MGMT do it? If you do not buy this, you are sadly mistaken.

The band was initially known as the Management, and its shows consisted mostly...
