Customer Reviews

iTune users need to step out of the mold.

It's sad to see people bashing Holy Ghost, a legit, talented set of artists as being 'weird' or sounding like their from the '80's' while in the single of the week, Eric what's-his-face gets praised for being a generic, talentless pop-singer we've seen a million times. The kid sounds like he's trying to do a poor imitation of The Smiths (who, *gasp!*, are also from the 80's). The video is a hark back to the old, brown-washed recording of shows from Studio 54. I'm 19, is it too hard for the next generation (who have already achieved their objective of making me feel like that crotchety old man I am inside) to learn something about music, and maybe step away from their spoon-fed dribble. Put down that watered down mix of Justin B, Kei$ha, and any other empty headed twit bands.

Holy Ghost! is a great band, Hold On was another single which iTunes had graced us with and it's good to see that they haven't forgotten a talented band. Between this weeks video and the Hot Chip release two weeks ago, these are the best freebies iTunes have to offer.

as cage said best....

"ooooOOOOH NO! its the 80's again!!! "

love HOLY GHOST! and the video is great too!! dont take it so serious you free music of the week haters! dance and have fun..

I love everything this band has put out

It's meant to be a throwback to the 80's and to New Order. They intentionally made this video as homage to New Order's "Confusion." It's fantastic, by the way. I prefer bands that pay tribute to the bands that really influenced them in their videos rather than compromise the original sound. You probably downloaded this video on iTunes for free anyway so what are you complaining about? I suppose you'd rather pay 2 dollars to download Ke$ha's Tik Tok even though that song was nowhere close to original. See Kylie Minogue's "Love At First Sight" for that reference.
