concept doesn't hold up
Sadly (since this is my favorite Lyle Lovett song), the video is lousy and i had to delete it after buying it. The b&w clips of Lyle performing the song are just great (hence 2 stars) but it's chopped up with color segments of people talking about stuff that doesn't go with the song or the rest of the video. If there were some way to edit that out, i would give this 5 stars - the b&w parts are moody, thought-provoking and evocative. What a disappointment.
Good Song, Annoying Video
I enjoy the song, but Lovett must have been feeling artsy, because there are a bunch of loony interviews spliced into this song. If you have some video editing skills and can get rid of all the junk, you might salvage it, but who wants to bother? It's basically unwatchable.
