Not a cult
Just great musicians with an amazing album and some cool backstory/mystique.
Great.
Don't watch this video if you have no imagination or believe you could "go to hell" for watching anything at all.

I was introduced to Yacht about a year ago by the youtuber Livelavalive (aka Mitchell Davis) and have been listening since! This particular song is most definitely my favorite. Although there are alleged rumors about Yacht being a cult, they really aren't. They're just unlike any other band by letting other people 'join Yacht' when really it's just a fansite for Yacht.
So, they're not a cult and they have songs with great lyrics and have an awesome mission statement: "Yacht is about group conciousness. Yacht is about the individual man or woman. If you believe these assertions to be contradictory, consider the Triangle: it is both a collection of points and a shape."
