The Antithesis of Duran Duran?
This is a brilliant song that never "hit", but I'm not sure why. It's danceable, fun lyrics, and well, it's The Cult at one of their most creative times. This video is sort of cheesy 80s but in a good way, with a concept. The band members play roles, led by frontman and major hottie, Ian Astbury. I think of it as "Hungry Like the Wolf" but dirty and dark, the way I prefer my bands. Who needs supermodels dancing thru the jungle being chased by Simon LeBon? Not I. I'd rather watch The Cult in this Jack the Ripper/Victorian vid. CFFC!
