My MJ Moment

When I was a kid, I would watch Michael Jackson videos and stand in front of the T.V and try and mimmick the dances. It's been quite some time since a video has moved me like that. Well Single Ladies did. What a great concept. People say she should have had more to the video. You have to understand that this is nonstop dancing. Serious dancing at that. No breaks. We don't get just dancing these days in a video. We get a little acting and the the break down at the end. Just pure dancing. Noooo! I do this dance just for exercise and it is no joke how badly I am sweating at the end. Thanks Beyonce for getting me excited about a video like Michael Jackson, Prince and Janet Jackson did back in the day.

Less is more!!! Brilliant!

This video is destined to become a classic of the genre -- it's so simple, yet captivating...it shows off the talents of B and these two gals (even if one is a tremendous tranny)...this video does what music videos are supposed to do, make you enjoy the song even more. The dancing is top notch, yet understated, and i love how each girls kind of has her own moves, the dancers aren't lock-step like your typical music video. I love how you get a 360 degree view of the set and realize this set is circular -- pretty impressive, so the camera is mounted on a jib arm and lowered into a set that only has beyonce and her girls. Really great, understated directing. Beautiful lighting, and cinematography. Anyone who doesn't like this video doesn't have an eye for the subtle -- they're just pop brats who've been spoiled by the typical video that's made for people with ADHD. Genius!

Greatness!

B is always coming with them!
