Admit it, Fix it, Do not Repeat it
It takes a true man to apologize and Akon did exactly this. Sure, he made a couple mistakes, but haven't we all? I know I have made many that I wish I could take back. Akon is not making excuses when he says "how was I to know she was 21 in a club 21 and over?" Everyone says that he should be able to tell, well I do not know about you but I have seen some 21 year olds that look 15 and some pretty mature 15 year olds that look 23. If you have not seen this, go to the mall and test it out. Perception is reality, I suppose. When I heard this song, I feel that Akon is sending a very strong message to his listeners. We need to learn about "responsibility" and "realize" that what we do and the actions we make truly do "affect those around us." I am not saying that this song is going to create a perfect world but if people forget to hate and learn to love then maybe we could make this world that much better. Akon learned the hard way about responsibility and respect. Is this the last time Akon is going to make a mistake? Probably not, but does he realize that he is going to make another mistake in the future? Yes, and because he realizes this, he is a better man. Terrible mistakes and accidents happen. Unfortunately, no one is perfect. The way to limit these accidents is to stop and think about the repurcussions that will occur from the event or incident. We as listeners must take his example and learn from it. I think this is a great song and I hope he keeps producing this type of music. Flame away.

This was a great song by Akon and i think this will be #1 on ITunes for a while. Now if ITunes just got some Eminem Videos....
