A True Masterpiece

This is in my opinion, Eminem best song, and the best song ever made. It is off of The Marshall Mathers LP, and was the third single. It samples Dido's "Thank You" as the chorus. On The Marshall Mathers LP, Eminem made some very controversial songs about himself. On this song, he speaks through the perspective as one his fans who is absolutely obsessed with him. This fan is named Stan, who has bleached his hair to look like Eminem's, dedicated his entire basement as a shrine to Em, and even has a picture of Em on his mirror. This fan writes a letter to Eminem and Emienm responds, but the response is lost in the mail. Stan becomes very hostile, and starts to treat his pregnant girlfriend horribly along with going crazy himself. Then, after Stan sends another letter and gets no response, he ties his girlfriend up in the trunk off his car, and makes a suicide tape for Eminem. He then drives his car off the bridge, killing himself and his pregnant girlfriend. As Eminem is responding to Stan last letter, he offers him some advice, comparing the possible results to something he heard on the news about someone commiting suicide. As Eminem ends the letter, he makes the connection between the two instances, realizing it was Stan who killed himself. This is probably the best music video I have ever seen and Eminem's best song ever.

Meanwhile, she sang with a series of local groups before joining the trip-hop outfit Faithless — helmed by her older brother, the noted DJ and producer Rollo — in 1995.
