Superwoman Indeed!!!

This song is absolutely amazing. It is a boost of confidence for all the women in the world, which is exactly what was needed. This has to be one of the most thought provoking tracks/video that Alicia has ever done! It is so relatable and tells the story of so many different types of women. From an astronaut to an African student to a single mother. I was surprised and flattered to see the appearances from the actual people she was playing....A M A Z I N G ! ! ! ! !

A True Superwoman

This video is beautiful, and represents all women who just want to make lives better for themselves, and for the ones they loved. I love how Alicia portrays herself as all types of women, from a mother wanting to get into college and provide a better future, to an high power executive (such as Jada Pinkett Smith) who works hard and provide for her family, that when she gets home , her kid is already sleeping.

Oh yes, I am a superwoman.

Alicia Keys is describing the kind of women we girls should strive to be-independent, powerful, loving, and our own people. We don't need boys to make us happy-we are too busy writing, singing, acting and pioneering. We are not sex symbols-we are smart and truly beautiful. We are superwomen. Today, young singers like Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus and books and movies like Twilight and High School Musical are telling us that we can't be single and happy, boys are what our worlds should revolve around, we should all dress like skanks and worry about our hair 24/7. Alicia is saying they're wrong. She is giving us girls the power to be great women like Hilary Clinton, Madeline Albright, Angelina Jolie and Oprah, or Rosa Parks, Anne Frank, and J.K. Rowling. Nobody can tell us what to do with our bodies, what we should read and watch, how we should dress and act in public. No one can tell us to be anything other than what we are; superwomen. Thank you for this inspiration Alicia, you are a true superwoman.
