OPETH...ONE OF A KIND!!!
IN AN ERA WHERE MUCH OF THE CURRENT MUSIC SOUNDS THE SAME, IT IS REFRESHING TO HAVE FOUND A BAND THAT STANDS ABOVE THE REST. THEIR CHANGING TEMPOS, VARIOUS VOCAL STYLES, ACOUSTIC GUITAR MIXED WITH CRUSHING ELECTRIC GUITAR, BASS AND DRUMS NEVER GET TIRING. THE MYSTERIOUS FEEL TO ALL OF THEIR SONGS TAKE YOU ON AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER AND GET DOWNRIGHT ADDICTIVE. OPETH IS DEFINITELY AT THE TOP OF THE MUSIC SCENE. THIS VIDEO AS WELL AS THEIR WHOLE DISCOGRAPHY IS A MUST FOR ANY OPETH FAN!

ok, i'll start this by saying that i love opeth, they're one of my all time faves... but, this video has very few good things about it. first off, how can you turn an 11 minute song into a not quite 6 minute video? and c'mon, yeah, the girl in it is SUPER SEXY, but c'mon, SO cliche. the band playing in a warehouse-ish setting, again, cliche... i mean, i know their label didn't give 'em much freedom with this album, and obviously not w/this video, but still, i'd expect better from opeth on their 1st video, from their 1st single, from their 1st major label release (their 8th record overall) ahh well, s'pose opeth's standard 9+ minute movements wouldn't be as appealing to the masses. all in all, when you take a mediocre song, cut most of the stuff that makes it mediocre and not garbage out, add some really corny video work, you're not gonna get that much... still beats 99% of the video's out there tho... sad, huh

Although I've read reviews and agreed this has absolutly no connection with the real plot of the song. It's a really good song tho.
