Sarah Throws Down the Gauntlet

Yeah, you could say it's just another preachy hippy chic vid. And it does come off that way except it's very rooted in the practical application of real help rather than warm fuzzies. And it's also a damn good song. You don't have to be a hippy to see the world's going to Hell in a handbasket. It's been going that way for a long while. But I hope you will seriously consider doing something about it. For the world's sake, for your own humanity, and for the many thousands that can be helped, even if you can only do a little bit. The vid can give you some ideas.

Inspiring!!!

It was my humanities teacher's turn to do chapel and our theme was how to help the world, because of what has just happened in Japan. Anyways, she showed us this video and it really made me think about all we could do with money we have, but we spend it on ourselves. An example she gave was, "We you guaranteed to wake up tomorrow in bed, you are guaranteed to go to sleep with a blanket, you are guaranteed to have 3 meals plus snacks tomorrow, if you just gave up your taco or snack one day, and gave that money to someone in need, it can really help them, you might think, well what's 5 or so dollars gonna do, but if everyone did it, that adds up to a lot, and the buckets full." think what we can do
