Assaulting the airwaves like it's 1992 all over again, Breaking Benjamin features one half of the short-lived rapcore act Lifer (guitarist Aaron Fink, bassist Mark Klepaski) and a refined hard-rock sound that recalls the haggard and heavy heyday of Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden. No wonder Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan stopped by the band's We Are Not Alone sessions, cowriting "Rain" and bringing Breaking Benjamin full circle with their alt-rock ancestors. Not that they needed the help; as they've proven on every record since their 2002 debut, Saturate, they stumble upon stadium-sized hooks every time they're in the studio, from the ecstatic highs of "Until the End," "Breath," and "The Diary of Jane" to the sewer-scraping lows of "I Will Not Bow," "Medicate," and "So Cold."

good but missing a few songs
they need to add songs like lights out, blow me away, and give me a sign. it's like they just overlooked those songs and a couple more and you cant do that when you're trying to show BB's best work
...
Needs more stuff from We are Not Alone.
A Good Overview
Overall Raiting 7/10
Great overview but lacking in some points It's a good mix of what Breaking Benjamin is all about and should hook just about any listener. However there are some problems.
1. Who Wants to Live Forever is only an average song as covers go and (my feelings for Queen aside) doesn't need to be here.
2. Rain and Skin despite being singles are not fan favorites and should be shelved in exchange for better fan favs.
3. Shallow Bay, Blow Me Away, Breakdown, Evil Angel, and Had Enough (all fan favs, played at almost every concert) are absent.
4. The problem is that the list is too small. Phobia is a great album, probably the best overall but Saturate and We Are Not Alone were slighted here. Fifteen tracks doesn't do BB justice.
5. Not well proportioned. Hits you hard and fast at the beginning, but slows down by the end. Needs a better mixing of tracks.
The good points...
1. Includes top singles that will hook just about anyone.
2. Includes Dear Agony tracks Crawl and Fade Away (both worthy of being singles).
3. Includes at least one track from every album by BB.
