    • 1. "Bang My Head" by Cross Canadian Ragweed: "This songs off CCR's Highway 377 record. They are my favorite country band that plays rock music! Their stuff is a little more raw than most of the Nashville stuff...we've played some shows together and have some more lined up this year...always a lot of fun. This song is typical of most of their songs in that you can really feel the lyrics and feel the music."
    • 4. "The Cold Hard Facts" by The Del McCoury Band: "Time to pick things back up again! This song, and the album to which this is the title track, really changed my life. I discovered bluegrass when I moved to Nashville in 1994 and immediately became a hardcore fan. The Del McCoury Band showed me that you could base your music on tradition, but still take it somewhere new and keep it fresh. Love these guys."
    • 5. "How's the World Treating You" by Alison Krauss & James Taylor: "Their voices melt together like butter. This is one of those songs I sing along to and learn every lick in case James, Alison and me are all playing together one night somewhere, like the Grand Ole Opry, and James suddenly gets sick and I get to sing with Alison. Kind of like the same feeling most wanna be pilots like me feel when they get on a plane...if-the-captain-gets-sick-i-bet-i-could-land-this-thing! Never going to happen but fun to think about."
    • 8. "Ramblin' Man (Single)" by Hank Williams: "Some of my earliest memories were listening to a hank williams cassette with my dad on the way to school. I think the stark honesty of his voice and songwriting are unmatched then or now by anybody in any genre of music. Of all his songs, this is one of my favorites and one that I feel closer to with every passing day...been doing a lot of rambling this year on the road."
