If Nine Inch Nails filed its abrasive aesthetic down like a pair of jagged cuticles, the refined result would sound something like Filter's industrial-strength pop. And no wonder — Filter's main man, multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Richard Patrick, was in NIN's original touring lineup. A master of mood manipulation, Patrick can whip up a mean wave of heavy-metal masochism ("Welcome to the Fold," "Hey Man Nice Shot") as well as on-a-rooftop-at-midnight balladry ("Take a Picture") and purified power chords ("Skinny," "Where Do We Go from Here"). In other words, Filter eases the pain like crushed-up Valium pills.

YES!
Filter is one of the greatest bands I have ever listened to. Great music from every album.
?
I am so confused
I love the song "hey man nice shot" and " welcome to the fold", since they are hard rock songs, so I looked at more of their songs expecting it to be hard rock. Instead I'ts just a let down with all of these stupid pop songs on it
I was really let down
awsome!
This is so good!! I love it!
