These are all songs that I always wanted to record. I fell in love with them. They are timeless songs. Some of these songs I sang at talent shows when I was growing up. I felt a connection with these songs.
Another cover I would like to do is "Lady in Red". Now that this is done, I would love to do these other songs. I have a signature sound after 22 years and I can do covers and people know it's me. I will probably do it on my next album which should come out around next Easter.- 3. "Love Ballad" by L.T.D.: "'Love Ballad' was in my neighborhood growing up in Harlem. I used listen to it all the time. It was an ' up against the wall' song."
- 4. "I Wanna Get Next to You" by Rose Royce: "Whenever I listen to it, it takes me to a nostalgic place."
- 5. "Save the Best for Last" by Vanessa Williams: "I listen to it in the car all the time. I turn it up very loud and listen because the melody is just incredible."

There is only one Freddie!
It isn't strange that Freddie mentions songs he loves -- he is a true singer in every sense of the word! His cover versions are amazing. His "Good Morning Heartache" is all the proof you need to know he is exceptionally gifted. Glad that he is still around. His voice is a national treasure. We all know the power and have love for it...and respect!!!
