Like vampires without the bloodlust or fangs (in most cases at least) they take to the streets and clubs, clad in leather and lace, and dancing 'til dawn under the ultraviolet glow of black lights and the ultra-violent urgency of songs like "S**k" (featuring Trent Reznor!), "A Drug Against War," and "Jesus Built My Hotrod." Lace up those combat boots, start practicing your scowl, and be sure to borrow your sister's fishnet stockings. It's going to be a long, sweaty one.

Flash-forward a few weeks: Now that you're a regular at the area's only deviant dance party, we thought you might be ready for some fan favorites — the songs that make the whole underworld go round. "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" would leave Nancy Sinatra shaking in hers; "Radio Babylon" sounds like a wind tunnel rave; "Beloved" is as beautiful as it is haunting, and "A Warm Place" captures Trent Reznor in a rare ambient moment of vulnerability even Eno would appreciate.

Everything changes after midnight. Doctors, lawyers, students, your older brother Bill — any one of them can change outfits and identities in the caustic but welcoming "us against the world" company of industrial clubs.
