what

The belief that children won't enjoy good music is completely unfounded.
I don't think there's any reason children shouldn't listen to good music, so long as it isn't lyrically or thematically inappropriate. Playing good music around children may actually interest them in music, or, if they're bound to be interested in music no matter what you play them, it will interest them in good music rather than in bad music. Anecdotally, I listened to good music as a child, and was as interested in music as a four year old as I am today. By five, I'd decided Talking Heads were my favorite band, and by 4th grade I'd bought all their albums. I didn't spend money on anything other than CDs. I think being exposed to good music as a kid is the reason I love music, and the reason I'm interested in music more than I am in anything else, today.
Of course, what constitutes "good" music is subjective. But this stuff is being sold as "watered down s--t kids can digest." Whatever you think is good music, play your children. All I ask is you don't play something you don't like because you think it's more child-friendly.

Some of this is normal music that would be acceptable, but other aspects are just plain sad. "Kid" is a widespread term, though I do not even know of any *5 year olds* who would have dance parties to music by the Wiggles. The dance parties 5 year olds take place in usually play music like "Let's Get It Started" by the Black Eyed Peas, and "Don't Stop The Music" by Rihanna. Hope this was helpful...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
