Barnes For Prez

Kevin Barnes is god.

:/

I mean, the song picks are all good and everything, but the only way to listen to Of Montreal is full-album. Also, why is Sex Karma number one? It's really not one of their best songs. It's catchy and I like it, but it's probably the most shallow song on the album, and Of Montreal is all about depth.

Personally, if you are gonna pick and choose songs, I'd say start with Gronlandic Edit. That on its own will probably convince you to buy all of Hissing Fauna (the album it's on), and as well you should, it's one of their best albums in my opinion. From there you should either work backwards to the classic Sunlandic Twins album, or forward to the orgy of Skeletal Lamping. Or, really, whatever you want to do, it's all good. But I'd definitely recommend you also check out Coquelicot Asleep In The Poppies: A Variety of Whimsical Verses. It's completely different in genre from the later albums, but just as enjoyable. It's basically one big story book set to music, and I can't think of more relaxing songs than "It's just so", "Let's Do Everything for the First Time Forever", and "Rose Robert".
