Customer Reviews

Apple needs better research.

I know Apple prides themselves on "fanatical" selection for its essentials, however you can't help but notice that sometimes they put one together without fully knowing the artist. Here for example I assume the researcher simply didn't know Robin Thicke went by just Thicke before and put out his first single When I Get You Alone under that moniker. It's a fun song and surely would have made his essentials, don't let anyone fool you by saying they chose to ignore it, it is clearly an oversight.

Dig Deeper

Robin seems like a good cat. Unfortuanalty he's not Marvin Gaye but he puts a lot of effort into his falsetto smooth vibe. Got to give him credit for that. I'm sure he spent a lot of time listening to Marvin, Curtis Mayfield, Al Green, Barry white, Smokey Robinson, Isley Brothers, etc. The ones who sang song with passion and lyrics that meant something. Robins tracks are nice but I would still like to see him dig deeper on the lyrics. (like R&B of the past not of today). At the end of the day his doing it and in todays R&B it's a piece of sexy vibe from the past.
