    • 1. "Bad Dream Mama" by Eagles of Death Metal: "Monster guitar riff and a fun, fun, fun til-your-daddy-takes-your-beer-bong-away kinda groove."
    • 2. "Your Little Hoodrat Friend" by The Hold Steady: "Every once in awhile the critics are right. This is the best first song to hear from these darlings of the indie press."
    • 3. "Improper Dancing" by Electric Six: "I guess these guys are just too smart, too funny and too awesome for the general public. Man, I wish I was in this band."
    • 4. "Chinatown" by Zeke: "Zeke is scary good. I can't tell you how many times they've made me almost quit. Pretty much the only punk/metal-type band worth giving the time of day to, in my book."
    • 5. "Blood Red" by The Hangmen: "Bryan Small is a god among men. It's rare that a band does its best work over a decade after its first record. Here's one."
    • 7. "Rocket 69" by The Lee Harvey Oswald Band: "The most incredible glam rock David Bowie never made. But, if he heard it, I'm SURE he would wish he had!"
    • 8. "Speed of the Sound of Loneliness" by A3: "Better known in the U.K. as the Alabama 3, they're best known here as the band who does the theme song to The Sopranos. I just call 'em the best, sweet, pretty, country acid-house band in the land."
    • 9. "Hey Nashvegas!" by Jesse Dayton: "Why isn't this guy the biggest star in country music? Oh, that's right, he's too good. I almost forgot how it works in Nashville."

Lee Harvey, The Hangmen & Zeke

any list that would have any one of these bands, let alone, these three together is a sure buy. i have to disagree with Rocket 69 though, Easy Amplification is better ;)
