Podcast Description

This Podcast is a free show about the Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin. Jason and Karen are members of the Soka Gakkai. Every two weeks they take a Buddhist study point and do their best to make it easy to understand and of use to anyone who listens. Practical Buddhism for living in the 21st Century, not beside a remote lake or mountainside but in the midst of daily life, with a job to do, a house to run and children to raise.

Voices do the Buddha's Work

Here's a big shout out from Northern California to Jason and his family! These podcasts are an excellent, very down-to-earth introduction to and discussion of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism. They capture the life-affirming, dynamic quality of this practice. The Jarrett's podcasts just keep getting better and better and now that Karen has a mike of her own, I'm sure that will be even more of a benefit. I have begun to burn these podcasts onto CDs and am giving them out to Soka Gakkai members and friends here in Sacramento (some folks don't know what a podcast is, and CDs are very easy to burn using iTunes). Love this Podcast

Jason and Karen do a great job of telling their views and experiences with Nichiren Buddhism. Though I don't belong to the SGI or any other religious organization, I find that they have a very personal and heart-felt approach. Keep up the good work!

A Buddhist Podcast

You don't have to be a Buddhist to find this podcast entertaining; I wasn't and did. Be warned though, once you listen, you are likely to start chanting and feeling better! The Jarretts are such good representatives of the faith, and tell such a compelling tale; it's hard not to want to be part of it in a deeper way. The interplay between Karen and Jason is pure magic and the message they present is uplifting and inspiring. I give this podcast a big thumbs up!
