The Balance of Grace and Faith | We access God’s grace through our faith. Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. (Romans 5:2a AMP) Faith is simply believing that you receive God’s free gift. Faith appropriates (takes hold of) what God has already provided by faith. Faith is an action – making a choice to believe God’s promises over your intellectual knowledge, your senses, or the doctor’s reports. God is the “transmitter”. He is broadcasting healing 24/7. Lesson 3: The Great Exchange | When Adam and Eve committed the initial sin of disobedience towards God, the enemy gained authority over the earth and mankind. When sin entered the world, the effects of sin tagged right along... sickness, pain, fear, poverty, etc. But Jesus redeemed us from sin and ALL the effects of sin (including disease and pain!) when He paid the price in full with His blood, with love! Satan has diminished this Biblical truth in the world by dispersing the half truth that Jesus died so that we might be forgiven of our sins and granted eternal life after we die. Lesson 14: Believe, Obey, Act! | In A Healing Journey, we’ve searched God’s Word to learn His perfect will for our lives, which includes healing and wholeness in our body. As we come to know His Word and His will, our faith, or belief in His Word, grows stronger and stronger! Forgiving Yourself | God asks us to forgive, in order to make our heart fit to receive His forgiveness. In order for our prayer to be effectual, we must be in the will of God. If we have unforgiveness or offense toward others in our heart, we are not able to receive God’s forgiveness. Thus we will not be in the perfect will of God, and we will not be open to receive the healing Jesus died to provide us with! Lesson 6: The Prayer of Faith - Part 2 | Jesus teaches us that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24) The question, then, is how do we develop a faith to believe without doubting in our heart? Faith is like a muscle. We have a muscular system within our bodies, but if we do not exercise those muscles, they do not become strong. Likewise, we must exercise our faith in order to strengthen it to a point where we believe God’s promises of healing MORE than we believe the doctor’s report, or the symptoms that we may be experiencing. Remember the father’s response to Jesus when He advised him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes." The father cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"
