Podcast Description
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurobehavioral condition, characterized by inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Despite the fact that it is one of the most common mental disorders in childhood, affecting an estimated four million children and adolescents in the United States, managing the challenges of the condition can leave mothers feeling isolated. The “ADHD Moms” online community is a unique online destination where mothers of children with ADHD can seek resources and network with other moms about their experiences raising children with ADHD. The ADHD Moms community podcast series will feature helpful tips from experts, advocates and fellow moms. Episodes are hosted by an ADHD expert, such as Patricia Quinn, MD, a nationally recognized pediatrician who treated children with ADHD for more than 30 years and now focuses on ADHD education, advocacy and research, and feature guest moms, some of whom include Ana Romero, mother of a son with ADHD, who testified before Congress about the condition; and Laura Willingham, mother of a son with ADHD and local advocate for ADHD awareness. Be sure to subscribe to the series and return soon for new episodes.
