Advice to the Players Review
Having seen Jonathan Redding perform, I can say the man knows Shakespeare. It's something reaffirmed with every sentence of this podcast. The interplay with Philip Kelly is solid, natural, and informative. The opinions conveyed by the hosts are detailed without being preachy, and the conversation is easy to follow even if you're new to the material. If you weren't a fan of Shakespeare before, or had any misconceptions about the depth of the work, this podcast will change that. I consider it a must listen for anyone who loves, or is interested in Shakespeare. Bravo gents.
Great resource for actors and students of Shakespeare
This is a really excellent and unique podcast offering fascinating and helpful insights into playing Shakespeare. There is really no other podcast like it. Jonathon Redding is a profound intellect, and supremely knowledgable about Shakespeare, and paired with Philip Kelly, the two offer practical and accessible advice in terms of connecting with Shakespeare and brining it to life. Both Philip and Jonathan bring a wealth of experience and passion to the subject matter, and engage in a non pretentious inquiry into the life and work of the great playwright.
