Great Podcast With Fun Hosts

I've listened to just about every comic podcast out there and I find myself shaking my head and unsubscribing because the shows are done by either teenagers who feel the "f" word has to be added to every sentence or by young men who feel that sexually explicit language is necessary when reviewing comic books. This show is a breath of fresh air. The hosts are knowledgable, mature, funny, and engaging. I love the weekly grab bag, which has turned me on to some comic series I would not normally have considered. This is a GREAT show that talks about comics in a mature and fun fashion. This is my number one show when it comes to comic podcasts.

Some Stuff I Like and Some I Don't

Almost every week I find myself on the brink of dropping this podcast because some things really annoy me but I keep listening so I guess the good is greater than the not so good. First, I'll talk about what I like: I like what you're covering. You don't just focus on one publisher or one topic and you get some pretty good interviews at times. The interview with Cornell about Wisdom and Captain Britain and MI 13 is probably my all-time favorite. I also really like how you do reviews. The stuff I don't like so much: You guys get off topic way too easily. It can be incredibly frustrating watching you guys literally throw away a half hour of an episode at times talking about the most random crap that has nothing to do with what you were planning to talk about. Angela. She is the most annoying female I've ever heard in podcasting and any friend I have who has ever listened to this podcast has unfortunately agreed with me. I've had a few friends try this podcast and immediately drop it because she annoys them so much. She often has no clue what the other members of the panel are talking about and she has to say the word "like" most episodes at least once a sentence (example, "It's like, you know, like"...etc.). I could understand having her on the show if she had more to contribute but she can barely follow the conversation at times. Last Corwin. I enjoy him on the show overall and he contributes great conversation but I have to give him some crap because everytime he goes throw the sponsorship info he always seems to butcher the DCBS and InStockTrades info. I recommend recording yourself and getting it right one time so you never have to do it again. I've never seen somebody stumble over sponsor information before in my life. Feel free to ignore my criticisms as I may not even be listening to your podcast by the time you read this and take anything into consideration but who knows, a good interview or something might hook me a little longer.

How can you NOT enjoy this!!!!!!

First off, I think these guys (and gal) deserve a round of applause b/c anyone who takes the time and energy do a podcast gets a tip from my hat. They review the comics I seem to read and even though I read all my comics in trade (it's cheap) they hit the high notes of each comic and they seem to get to the point a lot quicker than most comic podcasts. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll have a secure spot in my iphone!!!!!!
