Schwartz... The People's Choice
Stephen Schwartz writes brilliant music that everyone (okay, except for a handful of critics who have never produced anything) can enjoy. He brings his stories to the masses and has a genuine compassion for his audiences. His personal history writing for Broadway, as you'll find out, is replete with stellar successes and abject failures which makes him all the more human and approachable. I am acquainted with the composer only having produced his concert: "Stephen Schwartz & Friends" several years ago. Still, I have never met a nicer person who is friendly to admiring strangers. His music and lyrics are positive and life affirming, often revealing the nature of characters who mirror the lives of us all. Thank God for Stephen Schwartz, his music and his stories!
Schwartz Keeps Arts Education Alive
Broadway resonates through America's fabric like our stars and stripes. Thank you iTunes for bringing Schwartz's work here to a forum where student artists, educators, or any Broadway lover can share in the very heartbeat of American art and performance. Without Broadway, where would Hollywood be? Great addition to the family of podcasts. Thank you iTunes!
