Dulcet cacophony

I have been described as a beer podcast aficionado. Not by myself, but by those closest to me as well as a few of my greatest enemies. While I do not actually hold any legitimate certification of my aficionado-ness, you can trust that I am.
As an aficionado (despite any argument against the authenticity of the title), I stand firm in my opinion that the Barrel Chat is one of the best beer podcasts ever created. To be sure that my official opinion (albeit my unauthenticated and unauthorized unofficial official opinion) is considered objective opposed to subjective, I have developed and applied a scoring system to weigh the content and quality of the unparalleled, unmatched, and unrivaled best beer podcast ever.

*Opening Sound/Intro: 10/10
A perfect score is awarded because of its simplicity, duration, ‘real-ness’. From the very first second, this world class podcast lets you know, ‘This podcast doesn’t F around’.
*Content: 10/10
This isn’t your dad’s beer podcast. These guys are all in on exploring everything their region has to offer. Working with and chatting with local brewers plus actually supporting them by purchasing their beers, drinking them, and encouraging others to support them. Their chit chat is legit, their options are real, but their jokes are horrible. Doesn’t sway the count though, still perfect score.
*Hosts: 10/10
These 2 gentlemen sound like they have a face for free internet podcasts. However, their conversations with each other or with guests is more than just monotone beer blither bather. They have decent inflection in their pitch when necessary. Also, their simple and common names make it incredibly easy to remember them and personify their voices…. I can’t think of their names at the moment… but you understand what I’m trying to say.

Overall, Barrel Chat with Mike and Kevin is a resounding 30/30. The first and only perfect score based on my 3 piece ranking system. They are shoe-ins for my Golden Beer Podcast award for 2023, and I’m already considering them for the 2024 award as well.

Great beer talk for beer people. They keep it Kopacetic.

-Cheers
