Who knew grammar was this entertaining?

I was hooked from the first show. I wouldn't consider myself bookish or even particularly well read, and yet the content of these shows is captivating! Plus Mignon is just a delightfully entertaining personality. (although I am a bit self conscious of the grammar mistakes I may have made in this review. I debated for a while between "is captivating" and "are captivating." I hope I chose correctly)

The perfect addition to your weekly podcast listening

"Behind the Grammar" is the new podcast from Mignon Fogarty, the creator of the popular podcast "Grammar Girl" (Mignon is, in fact, Grammar Girl herself). "Grammar Girl" has been a long-standing example of how podcasts can successfully marry an intellectual topic like grammar with light-hearted humor to create a very enjoyable listening experience. "Behind the Grammar" follows this fine tradition, and gives its listeners the chance to her Mignon interview authors and give her thoughts on a wide-range of topics. I recommend this podcast to anyone who likes "Grammar Girl" as well as to anyone just looking to add another enjoyable podcast to their weekly listening. You will not be disappointed.

A labor of love from one of the best

Where Grammar Girl is concerned, if Mignon Fogarty didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent her. As if that valuable podcast and the host of attendant responsibilities weren't enough, Ms. Fogarty now presents us with "Behind the Grammar" -- Fogarty Unplugged, if you will. Her love of language is extended here into a desire to talk about what lies behind the scenes in the business(es) of presenting -- publishing, podcasting, audiobooks, and much more. As someone who is a pioneer in New Media she rubs elbows with other New Media innovators, and Behind the Grammar discusses their developments and often interviews the creators themselves. I always leave these episodes feeling I've just had an inspiring conversation at a great bar with a terrific host.
