Everyone is on some kind of spiritual journey. Some are skeptical about God, the church or the Bible. Others have questions about faith and are seeking answers. Some have recently become Christ-followers; others have believed for a long time. At Blackhawk Church, we seek to encourage each other along this spiritual journey, each one moving towards a deepening relationship with God. Whether by great leaps or small steps of faith, were growing to understand the love and grace God has shown us in Christ. By emphasizing relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, and compassionate care for those in need, we strive to build a loving community that follows Christ, in order to reach a community that is lost without Him. Wonderful ministry, great sermons

I sometimes travel, and it's so good to be able to listen (and watch the videocasts too) of these great sermons. The speakers are Biblical, relevant, humorous, give great illustrations and applications on how we can live our lives in a relationship with God. I especially appreciate their understanding of people who are not "religious" - they speak in such a way that my non-religious friends also enjoy listening. Thank you!

He really does a great job!

Anytime I've heard Chris Dolson speak, I've found him engaging and relevant. I've visited the church a number of times since the summer of 2004 and am always impressed by his wisdom and wit. (This is coming from who was raised Catholic and used to fall asleep in church!)

Encouraging and bible-based

Blackhawk used to be my church home when I lived in Madison and I still consider it to be my spiritual church home. Pastor Chris has made it difficult for me to settle on a church where I currently live because I keep comparing them all to him, and to Blackhawk in general. Here, you will find honest, open, BIBLE-BASED teaching that will feed your spirit. Pastor Chris is on fire for God, and has a very easy-going humor and humble attitude that makes him very easy to listen to. He's real and relevant, and I'm happy to be able to listen to these sermons each week, even though I am no longer physically attending Blackhawk.
