Beautiful Tour
I did this tour on a day off. On a beautiful day the Harborwalk Tour gives a gorgeous perspective of something Bostonians often take for granted: the Harbor. The history though is what makes the story come alive, especially at India Wharf where ships would travel to Boston all the way from India to bring goods and trade. The end of the tour is so moving that you are disappointed the tour is over. But it certainly leaves one with a new appreciation of Boston.

If you've got a free hour and want to explore the Boston waterfront, this is the thing to do. Sure, you have to endure an obligatory greeting from the Mayor on the tour intro, but even that is well done (and actually kind of funny). The whole concept of the this tour is really cool. And it's free. Um... yes, please.
Fun!
My boyfriend and I took this walking tour together when he was visiting Boston - it was a great way to show someone my city and learn more about it myself. The tour is fun and has a creative way of showing you around. I really liked walking through the North End! What I really appreciated was being able to pause the tour and grab a bite to eat or shop around, and then just turn it back on when we wanted to.
