Customer Reviews
Pretty good, overall
British Invaders is a fairly good podcast devoted to British SF/F television (although they frequently incorrectly state they only cover SF shows). The hosts are fun, easy to listen to, and have a good rapport with each other. However, there are a quite a few factual mistakes made and they tend to only concentrate on a show's background, rather than the show itself. It would be an improvement, I think, if more time was focused on the episodes rather than giving an overall review. The current format is good (excellent, in fact) for listeners new to the relevant shows, but to those of us who know the shows it can be a little lacking.
Great guys.....Great show!
This podcast has given me new insights to shows that I love and has gotten me hooked on many more. I look forward to each episode. Each episode is well thought out and the host work great together. I highly recommend this podcast to any sci-fi fan.
Professional work from amateur enthusiasts
I have subscribed to this succint, yet successful podcast for a number of years and found it to be a great addition to my podcast listening rotation. The creators/commentators have uniquely stuck with a brief format that has needed very little if any tweaking. Each British scifi programme reviewed is analyzed quickly, but thoughtfully over two half hour podcasts that make for great commute listening. Brian and Eamon clearly demonstrate requisite fan passion for their subject matter, but unusually pull off a fairly professional review podcast that is balanced, well researched and free if the juvenile opinionated and banal bantering found in so many sci-fi/geek fandom podcasts. These fellas do a fine job of offering an almost journalistic cast that still satisfies the fan boy cravings! Great job chaps! Keep up the interesting and entertaining work!
