Hey,not bad!

To tell you the truth,I didn't really think this show would be all that great. But since I really love interviews, particularly with writers and serious thinkers in the "mental health" field ,I decided to take a listen.I'm so glad I did. While many of the guests clearly have their theoretical and "political" biases- the show itself is an "open-forum",to quote the host.A bit of a hidden gem for anyone struggling with or needing guidance for health issues;emotional/mental ones in particular. The host seems to be a very sweet person who's been through alot herself,so it's easy to identify with and feel a sort of kinship with Jacqueline (Foreman).Though I've only recently discovered the show,I would say the only thing I would perhaps tone down is Jacqueline's tendancy to fixate (justifiably,to be sure.) on her experiences of being treated by a doctor who was negligent to a truly astounding degree :the unbelievable amounts of multible drugs and the quantities in which they were prescribed seems far more indicative of a "sick" mind than this poor woman, who, bless her heart, was going through the unimaginable,(but NATURAL) process of grieving over the loss of her dear son. Well, that being said, she still manages to remain upbeat, and helps the listener feel like they're taking part in more of a casual conversation rather than listening to an interview show.I would definitely recommend this show to anyone with an interest in psychology.

UUUUGGGGHHHH!

The only episode I wanted to listen to is the interview with Kirsten Vangsness. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to listen to Kirsten BUT...Jacqueline, the interview should not be all about you but all about the person you've invited and who graciously accepted the invite. Listening to the rambling about the host was a total auditory beating. Poor Kirsten! I felt so bad that she was subjected to that! Kirsten gets points for being able to tolerate the nonsense!

Too much

I downloaded the one with Kirsten Vangsness. I don't know how she was able to sit through this "interview." The host talked the whole time about herself and other random stuff. I was looking for an interview, not a one sided conversation with some random gal.
