Clean#39: He’s Dead, She’s Dead. | Heidi has fallen ill, but insists that we release an episode this week, so as not to fall further behind. That's just how much she loves you. Not me, though. I've been making torture dolls of each and every one of you. There, I said it. :) News: 00:03:09 - Naked Heat, the second novel by Richard Castle has finally been released, and is climbing the charts on various bestseller lists. 00:05:20 - Stephen J. Cannell has passed away. We stop to pay our respects to the man and his work. Recap: 00:14:40 - 3x02 "He's Dead, She's Dead". Review: 00:19:53 - John and Heidi share their favorite moments from the episode, while also discussing the notion of psychics and mediums and giving some props to Susan Sullivan. Voicemail: 00:40:21 - Let us know your thoughts on the podcast and the show proper by calling the voice mail line at 478-227-4328 (HEAT). Be sure to include your name and what city you’re calling from. We’ll play it on the show. Thanks! 00:41:13 - Jesse from Dallas calls in to express his appreciation for the second episode of the season, especially the final scene. 00:42:58 - Jonathan from Birmingham leaves two messages. The first raises the possibility of killing off a character too soon, in order to get other characters to a certain emotional state sooner rather than later. The second expresses his loyalty and support to his favorite podcast that's all about Castle. He also reveals that much like the other fans who contributed to our previous Twitter poll, his favorite episode from season 1 is "Flowers For Your Grave". 00:49:17 - Melissa from Cleveland also calls in to shower the podcast with love and devotion. Meanwhile, John tries not to get too choked up.... Or rather BEER, FOOTBALL, GUNS and BOOBS! :) 00:52:38 - Zoe from Anchorage is without Twitter, but that doesn't stop her from being the first submission to our current Twitter Poll. She recommends we take a look at "The Truth About Kerry", starring Stana Katic. Unfortunately, it's not available for rent at this time. Emails & Contact Information: 00:59:52 - Melissa writes in with her very own running commentary, which is to say she took notes while watching the episode. 01:10:25 - Jesse shares his favorite moments and lines from the episode. 01:13:06 - Alex in Florida flaunts her big brain and calls the episode predictable. John suggests she become a detective. It's all in good fun. :) Music Appreciation: 01:16:05 - "Dad's Watch" by Robert Duncan. Spoilers: 01:16:42 - Plot synopsis for episode 4 of season 3. 01:18:39 - Guest star info and plot synopsis for an upcoming episode. Outro: 01:21:14 - Next week's episode discussion will be 3x03 "Under The Gun". Blooper: 01:22:21 - You know, it's not like we've been doing this show for over a year or anything. Oh, wait. Great Podcast!
I was so excited to find a podcast for Castle! If you are a Castle fan, this is a must listen! John & Heidi give you a rundown on every episode and their in depth discussions are a joy to listen to. They also have news, spoilers & a music appreciation segment with great scores by Robert Duncan! Fantastic podcast from start to finish!
Thank you
Thank you John and Heidi (and guest hosts) for your warm, fun, and honest podcast about Castle. I have been listening for about a year but gained a new respect for your podcast after your negative review of "Anatomy of a Murder". I am so appreciative of the fact that you are honest and are not afraid to give criticism when it is warrented. Listening to "Castle Cast" is like discussing each episode with a group of friends and it is always a joy to listen to. Thank you and keep up the good work.
An excellent companion to Castle!
I found this podcast soon after it came out and it quickly became a podcast I listen to right after watching Castle.
This podcast gives up to date news, a recap and a great discussion of each episode. There are many things that you'll realize you missed from truly funny lines to little in-jokes thrown in the background for truly observant fans of Nathan Fillion and Castle.
This podcast quickly worked the bugs out and became a well-organized and excellently produced podcast!
If you love Castle, you probably already listen to this podcast. If you watch Castle and don't listen to this podcast, then you're missing out!
The only possible downside to listening to this podcast is that it makes you want to watch Castle again to catch all of the things you missed! That is not a bad problem to have though because this show has excellent re-watchability!
Thanks for the truly great work, Heidi and John.
