With the CD Baby DIY Musician Podcast, we hope to tread the murky waters of the indie music world and provide an added tool for your musical journey. Born out of their daily work with artists at cdbaby.com, Kevin, Chris, and Bolton work to educate and encourage artists while building community among fellow musicians. The DIY Musician Podcast features interviews with promoters, lawyers, publishers, bookers, and artists of all styles and backgrounds. I am a promoter of shows in my area , however i took on a new venture which I am currently marketing an solo artist for the first time ... I am a business major and decided that i would look at my artist in that way, as a product / business... so hearing from her that its about marketing and the quote " music is the last thing thats important" I can understand completely with the type of genre that i deal with with booking venues and more.
