ExplicitTeam DeathChat: Episode 16 - “Pre-E3 2011″ 6/3/11 | We're back. No, this episode wasn't lost to the ages. It was, however, subject to technical problems, necessitating a re-edit and then it killed Rob T.'s computer. No, literally. His computer totally died. Like, "dead" dead. Deceased. Out o' here. Afterlife, kids. Still, we survived and although this should have been in your earholes in mid-May (just after the release of Brink), we're bringing it to you now. So sit back and listen to the boys (with a sober Dustin this time around) talk about even more Mortal Kombat, Outland, XBLA Indies (including Sequence), the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta, Dustin's Halo addiction, pre-E3 predictions, and the best stories in video games. Also, Ear Caresses from Mindjack! Enjoy! Music: "Sleepyhead" - Passion Pit "Helplessness Blues" - Fleet Foxes "The New Ride The Lightning" - Mixtapes Full show notes available on the website or in the podcast's lyrics page. | 6/5/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitTeam DeathChat: Episode 15 – "Mortal Shakespeare" 5/5/11 | This episode was recorded on Friday, April 22nd, so when Rob T. makes the throwaway comments about nobody caring about PSN being down toward the end of the show... yeah, this was before the world found out about everyone's personal information being compromised. Heh. Who knew? However, you can enjoy the Fearsome Foursome talking about Mindjack, Mortal Kombat, Pokemon Black & White, Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, Sword & Sworcery, The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile, the Gears of War 3 beta, and Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. Also, we do a little word association, talk about badass dolphins and the depth and nuance of the Mortal Kombat storyline, and Scott goes old school by breaking out his Super Metroid thesis. Good times. Enjoy! Music: "Keep This" - Make Do and Mend "George's Waltz" - Shigeru Umebayashi "Watermark" - The Weakerthans "Run The Heart" - Sleigh Bells | 5/4/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitTeam DeathChat: Episode 14 - "Mindjack'n" 4/12/11 | If you look out the window to your right, you'll see a herd of wild video game podcasters in their natural habitat. Be very quiet and try not to spook them -- this is two podcasts in as many weeks and I don't think they've noticed yet! Aren't they majestic creatures? So sit back and observe quietly from the safety of our nature documentary jeep-type conveyance as the usual foursome of Rob T., Rob R., Sage and Scott mix some post-PAX East wrap-up with what they've been playing lately -- Mindjack, Crysis 2, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Metroid: Other M, Dead Space 2, Duke Nukem Forever, L.A. Noire, The 3rd Birthday, God of War III, Trenched, Mortal Kombat, The Darkness 2, Ms. 'Splosion Man, The Gunstringer and Costume Quest. How do they manage to fit so much discussion into just an hour and a half, you ask? Simple, they're not doing a proper "second segment" this week. It's just one big CFD! Playlist for you all. So have fun and don't forget to Mindjack. Mindjack everybody. Mindjack. Enjoy! Music: "Your Girlfriends Hate Me" - Reggie and the Full Effect "Last Call" - The Loved Ones "Linoleum" - Streetlight Manifesto | 4/12/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitTeam DeathChat: Episode 13 - "PAX East 2011" 4/3/11 | First, apologies. We planned to do more than one PAX East podcast, but our recording of Saturday night (which would have featured special guest, BallsRog) was delayed due to excessive alcohol. How much you ask? How about enough to get Rob T. and Scott to do a night-ending karaoke duet in the hotel bar of Weezer's "Say It Ain't So" -- is that enough for ya? Sadly, this epic moment was not recorded for posterity. This podcast from the previous night, however, thankfully was. So, join the Robs, Dustin and an unusually witty Scott as they talk about Skulls of the Shogun, Outland, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Snapshot and some Nintendo 3DS stuff. Along the way we discuss cosplay nightmares, learn that all submarines are boys and find out that every game can be compared to Nintendogs. We also learn that Rob R. is solely to blame for the downloadable game price creep, get some vegan baking tips from Scott and have a special guest appearance by the loud people in the room next door. Enjoy! Music: "Change on Me" and "Resilient Bastard by Shellshag" - RVIVR | 4/3/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitCFD!'s Team DeathChat: Episode 12 - "Late to the Party Hangover Edition" 1/1/11 | Huh? We did *what* last night? Oh, man... we can barely remember anything after that sixth (seventh? eighth?) drink. Wait, are you serious? We forgot a whole podcast? And it should have been up over a month ago? Okay, that's it. No more drinking for us this year. So, while you're nursing that hangover and regretting the way you spent the final hours of 2010, why not enjoy it with the soothing tones of Rob T., Sage, Scott and special guest Greg Miller from IGN? Yeah, that sounds nice, doesn't it? Just don't put the volume up too loud. The boys talk about Angry Birds, Sonic 4, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare, Blood Stone, GoldenEye, PlayStation Move, Game Dev Story and Super Meat Boy. Then in the second segment, they reminisce about their earliest gaming memories. Along the way, they digress into Sage's rocks, The Walking Dead and zombie fatigue, and tender coming-of-age stories involving spiked balls. Happy New Year, everyone! Enjoy! ExplicitInterReviews - Enslaved: Odyssey To The West | Welcome back to the second installment of Crush! Frag! Destroy!'s InterReviews -- a supplementary podcast that will accompany selected reviews on the site. For those of you unfamiliar with the format (or who didn't catch our first InterReview for Super Mario Galaxy 2), InterReviews is styled similarly to GQ celebrity interviews, where rather than a journalist asking an interviewee questions, we get a couple of people to sit down and talk back and forth, asking each other questions in a more informal style. Kind of like a Games Club, but smaller in scope and more focused. Today's InterReview, however, is a break with the traditional format in two ways. First off, the supplement usually comes with a written transcript of the chat, for those who don't want to download and listen to it. Seeing as this one ran a wee bit longer than expected (just over an hour, as opposed to the 25 minutes of the first installment), that would make transcribing the whole thing a huge pain. And on a related second note, instead of having a pair of CFD! editors, we also have a special guest for this episode: Area 5's Matt Chandronait. So kick back, pour yourself a frosty glass of egg nog and enjoy the Robs and Matt as they discuss the adventures of Monkey, Trip and company in this InterReview for Enslaved: Odyssey To The West. You can read Rob Rich's review here and you can find the mp3 here. And if you enjoyed the music, be sure to pick up the Enslaved soundtrack by Nitin Sawhney at Amazon.com. | 12/21/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitCFD!'s Team DeathChat: Episode 11 - "CFD! After Hours" 10/1/10 | Welcome to Episode 1 of CFD! After Hours (or Episode 11 of Team DeathChat for those non-sexy people out there). Pour a glass of wine for yourself and that somebody special next to you, snuggle close to the fire and enjoy the Quiet Storm of Scott, Sage, Two Guys What Are Called Rob and the first appearance of a somewhat inebriated Dustin. Recorded on the eve of the launch of Halo: Reach (and while running a webcam experiment to make the recording a bit more... intimate), the boys got together for an impromptu podcasting session and chat about Monkey Island 2 SE, Epic Win for iPhone, NHL 11, various BioWare DLC, Kane & Lynch 2, Limbo, Skulls of the Shogun, Killzone 3 and other stuff. Meanwhile Dustin distracts the boys with Iron Man glamour shots, we bear witness to the birth of D(i)LC, Sage and Rob namedrop industry people they met/hung out with and give their top 3 PAX moments. Yep, this sure is a podcast. Enjoy! Music: "Sexual Healing" - Marvin Gaye "Taking Chase as the Serpent Slithers" - Rx Bandits "Demons" - The Lawrence Arms | 10/1/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitCFD's Team DeathChat: Episode 10 - The PAX-Tacular! 9/4/2010 | CFD!'s Team DeathChat Episode 10 - The PAX-Tacular (Recorded 9/4/2010) We're going to cut to the chase this week. No long show notes. No timecodes (it's a short one, so you don't really need them). No comprehensive listing of what all goes on during the episode. Just 47 minutes of Rob, Sage and a bunch of special guests (Aaron and Sarah Cherney from Sunken Treasures Games, Matt Chandronait from Area 5 and Greg Miller from IGN) talking about what they saw on the second day of PAX Prime 2010, live from the show floor in Seattle, Washington. Enjoy it while you recover from Post-PAX Pox, or just pretend like you were actually there and relive your fake memories. But either way, enjoy! ExplicitCFD!'s Team DeathChat: Episode 9 - 8/24/2010 | It may have taken a bit to get it up (like Mark Wahlberg's prosthetic p***s in Boogie Nights), but Team DeathChat returns with an epic show edging on the three hour mark. Why three hours, you ask? Do you think a measley two hours could contain all the awesome that is three of the usual four TDC cast (sans Scott) alongside George "GeorgieBoysAXE" Fagundes and Stephanie "Tigresa" Palermo from Press Pause Radio and Spawn Kill, respectively? Yeah, we didn't think so either. In the first segment, we dish about StarCraft II, Dead Space, Dark Void, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, some old-school SNES titles, Madden NFL 11, Assassin's Creed 2, Monday Night Combat, Risk: Factions, DeathSpank and a flood of Xbox Live Indie and iPhone games. We told you it was epic (like Mark Wahlberg's prosthetic p***s). In the second segment, we discuss the elusive beast that is "Games Journalism," talk about AJ Glasser's recent GamePro article about pressbox unprofessionalism and get a bit disillusioned with professionals who are "journalists" first and "gamers" second... or third... or fourth. Along the way Rob T. gets tired and hoarse and craves the sweet release of death, Stephanie calls everybody punk bitches for being scared by games, we talk about people hating on Scott Pilgrim and movie adaptations in general, Rob R. gets way too excited over virtual pottery and we end on some retail horror stories. Better go to the bathroom first, kids, because it's going to be a long, rough ride (like Mark Wahlberg's prosthetic p***s). ExplicitInterReviews - Super Mario Galaxy 2 | Welcome to the first of CFD!'s InterReviews - a new supplemental review feature where we sit down a couple of our editors and have them talk about a recently reviewed game. ExplicitCFD!'s Team DeathChat: Episode 8 - 7/22/2010 | Hey, look at that! We didn't lose this episode to technical difficulties! Aren't you all excited. Join the slightly slimmer crew of The Robs and Scott as they talk about Doom 2 for XBLA, Lego Harry Potter, Persona 3 Portable, Blood Bowl, Dragon Quest IX, Limbo, Transformers: War for Cybertron, Super Mario Galaxy, Dawn of War II, and a bunch of Xbox Live Indie Games. We promise a shorter show yet again this week and actually manage to pull it off, but the victory is soured by Rob T. messing up the staff intros right out of the gate. Later, we slip off onto a MegaTen tangent and Rob R.'s wife makes a small appearance on the podcast. Rob T. tries to dangle the "Games as Art" bait unsuccessfully, and we also fight a war to get Scott on XBL Gold for some Transformers action, which results in the Robs considering a hostage exchange for NHL 10. And if that all weren't enough, Sage returns for the second segment! Enjoy! ExplicitCFD!'s Team DeathChat: Episode 7 - 6/28/2010 | Schedules be damned! Team DeathChat returns (albeit slightly delayed - two weeks is "slightly", right?) with a show from the hoary deeps of the long distant past - just prior to the start of E3 2010. The usual crew is joined this week by long-silent CFD! editor, Nate Andrews, and talking words occur about Trauma Team, Guns of Icarus, Alpha Protocol, and Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening. Not to mention YET MORE TALK about Super Mario Galaxy 2, Lost Planet 2 and Red Dead Redemption. Man, those games have got to wear out their welcomes eventually, right? Along the way, we fly by the seat of our pants while debuting two new "features" in the second segment, Sage tries to kill a bear with his bare hands, we discover the secret to being better at games is sucking less and many mikes are molested. Hate flows from "The Worst," people bait each other and general chaos ensues. Somewhere along the way we actually manage to fit in some comments from the community on Pre-E3 2010 Dream Game Announcements (spoiler - pretty much none of them actually happened). Have a listen. It's just not terrible! ExplicitCFD!'s Team DeathChat: Episode 6 - 5/31/2010 | Ever listened to a podcast? Ever listened to a podcast recorded half-drunk on Jell-O shots? Well BAM! There it is! Yep, this show is a little bit of a train wreck, but you're going probably going to listen to it anyway. You know you will. Just keep in mind that we apologize profusely beforehand. We almost held off from posting this one, relegating it to "Lost Episode" status, but we figured keeping our now-regular rhythm going was more important. Pride? What's that? So, this week, even though we're one man down (for most of the show), we talk even more about Red Dead Redemption, Super Mario Galaxy 2, What Did I Do To Deserve This My Lord? 2, Lost Planet 2 and Monster Hunter Tri. Does anyone else notice there are a lot of twos this week? Along the way Sage lets us know he won't stop if you break down on the highway while Rob T. loves everybody, tries to speak Portuguese, corrects Rob Rich's pronunciation of Ico, and makes joystick innuendo. Meanwhile, Rob R. finds out just how sensitive his Mac mic is when he suffers a bout of explosive flatulence. Also, Scott drops in FROM OUT OF NOWHERE to save the day when Rob T.'s connection drops (again!). We also make a plea to find our missing editor and news dissolves into a hell that involves NOT peeing on Jade Raymond and setting her on fire. Also, Monster colons and p***s. ExplicitCFD!'s Team DeathChat: Episode 5 - 5/23/2010 | Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends! In this episode Rob Rich rejoins the crew and regales us with tales of new shoes. Also, this week we talk about the upcoming Lost finale in our last segment, so for many of you this will be a shorter than normal show. Or not. There is still some vidya game talkin', however. We delve into Indie Games (Zombie Estate and Paipa), Lost Planet 2, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption (which Sage would rather go to work than play, it seems), Shadow Complex, and A Boy and His Blob. In between various odd noises, Sage drinks much Haterade while dodging death three times and trying to sell a reluctant Rob T. on Battlestar Galactica. Rob T. also explains how he fails at Netflix and creams all over the original Metroid, while Rob R. has more Wii-woes and refuses to tell us what 5,000 polar bears having sex sounds like. Scott, meanwhile, does nothing of note. Also, Wife-arms. Whooo boy! Yep. Music: "Rainbow in the Dark" - Dio (R.I.P. ExplicitCFD!'s Team DeathChat: Episode 4 - 5/18/2010 | CFD!'s Team DeathChat Episode 4 - 5/18/2010 Look who's back! The Team DeathChat crew may be down a man this week (Rob Rich is out due to "real life"), but the rest of the boys return for more nonsensical ramblings, technical difficulties, and other hijinks. Join us as we meander our way through talks about After Burner Climax, even more Heavy Rain (with a visit from Future Scott), Facebook Family Feud (?!), Dead to Rights: Retribution, Skate 3, the Halo: Reach beta, and Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition. Along the way we protect our s*****ms from superhuman dogs with a taste for human flesh, giggle innanely over the People of Wal-Mart, argue about EA Sports' upcoming Project $10 variant so much that Rob loses his internet, and beg (threaten?) you for money with the promise of CFD!'s own version of Game Crush. Yeah, it's going to be one of those shows. Strap in, kids. It's going to be a bumpy ride. CFD!'s Team DeathChat returns from a short hiatus with our third episode, featuring the same group as last time: The Two Robs, Sage and Scott. In between our usual digressions and inane babbling We discuss the Perfect Dark XBLA update, Just Cause 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, NBA 2k9, Resonance of Fate, Sleep Is Death, Xbox Indie Games (including Breath of Death VII: The Beginning), Yakuza 3, Dead Rising, and Toy Soldiers. Meanwhile, we try to sell Sage on JRPGs, rub Monster Hunter Tri in Rob Rich's Wii-less face, enjoy select cringe-quotes from Just Cause 2, and try to sell Sage on StarCraft (see a pattern here?). In the second segment, we touch on a few bits of news before discussing Ubisoft and EA's DRM woes. Also, Sage makes everyone feel old and Rob T. presents his dream scenario for Duke Nukem Forever (and gets guilted by the staff for review delays). Come drink some haterade and enjoy! Customer Reviews
Highly recommended!
Considering that this is an upstart podcast, I'm already incredibly impressed with the sound quality and the chemistry between the hosts of CFD, especially considering that there are podcasts that have been running for way longer that still haven't nailed down what these guys already have going for them. I highly recommend anyone that's a fan of any of the 1up podcasts, Joystiq Podcast, Giant Bombcast, Player One Podcast, or any of the other 4-dudes-talking-about-games podcasts out there give this one a shot. It's already got a ton of promise and I can't wait to hear what else comes from them.
Commence Crushing, Fragging, and Destroying.
The Robs and Co. deliver the intelligent game discussion and witty banter/irrelevance that I look for in a video game podcast. A great group of guys with a great dynamic.
Amazing stuff!
The best in the business!
It changed my life and got me laid! Guaranteed to work for you too!
