February 2009 | The second podcast edition of 2009 see's Chris revert back to some of the sounds for which he is best known; straight-up deep house and electro. His Top 5 is made of artists; Pryda, a man called Dr.Kucho, FLG, Patric La Funk, and out on Rising Music we have Alex Fain's 'Aurora Borealis'. The rest of the episode is suitably up-tempo and at times quite dark, finishing off with a true classic from the recently reformed Prodigy. To make up for it he's given us his longest podcast to date; packed with a diverse selection of tunes and his first foray into the world of Drum 'n' Bass. Then there's the big one... we at Rising Music don't like brag too much, but 'If You Knew' feat. Nastala has taken the numero uno spot in the Buzz, Cool Cuts and Music Week charts; it entered MTV Dance's Essential New Tracks at #4 with a playlist-add to follow. This latest release sees Rene Amesz and Adam Shaw give their interpretations of Chris' unreleased track 'Deadline', Rudi Stakker remixing 'Release' and Mastiksoul's tribal reworking of the summer smash 'Only One'. Chris moves into deeper territory with Strimmer's 'The Anger' and a great new release on Subliminal. To wrap things up you'll hear the first track off Trentmoller's 2006 album, which when asked how it could be defined, Chris looked up for inspiration and simply said: "it's a journey". Chris Lake Podcast
I became a fan of Chris a couple of years ago after hearing an interview with him on XM radio. Since then he's blown up HUGE! I can listen to any of his tracks over and over and not get bored with it. I'm on the road a lot, and I can easily pop in a CD of his music and drive without having to skip tracks, like a lot of other CDs that contain a lot of "filler" songs somewhere in the middle. I strongly reccommend his work to everyone.

Shut up and let the music speak for itself. All the information about each song is available in the Now Playing window. It's a real shame you've ruined the flow of this podcast by interrupting each mix with a needless announcement. T.
Worth checkin' out
Chris Lake has a great ear for music. Over the past few years he has shot to the top of the dance music world, stunning people with his catchy hooks and phenomenal melodies. I still remeber the first track I ever bought by him was Lake & Asher pres Ramsay - Sweat, not a lot of people knew who he was back then. Chris has always amazed me with his mash-ups and remixes.
