"Teach Us To Pray: Praise" | Part 1 of a series on the Lord's Prayer. The disciples didn't say teach us to preach, although that would be important. They didn't ask to learn to counsel. They even didn't ask how will we run our churches. They heard something and saw something in His life where they had to ask...teach us to pray! Part one looks at the opening verse that says "our father, who is in heaven, hallowed by thy name." A relational and worshipful prayer. All focus on God! Don't miss this important series. | 1/8/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

"First Things First" | Jesus taught and lived the law of first things. He said seek first His kingdom! He told us what was the first and greatest commandment. In strong words he reprimanded the Pharisees to first take the plank out of their own eye. "When Life is not Picture Perfect: Bad things and Good Families" | Its not uncommon to find the words why and God in the same sentence. Even in the Bible Christ himself asked His Father, Why have you forsaken me? Bad things do happen even with a good God. We need to remember he is good and sovereign and he stands over Good and Bad things. In this sermon we talk about how to walk through bad things and how to keep good perspective in the storm of life. | 12/4/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

"Give Thanks For This Mess!?" | The Corinthian church family had issues that rival the tabloids of today's culture. How could Paul say in all sincerity to them, "I give thanks to my God always for you..."? How can we sincerely give thanks today for our own families even in dysfunctional situations? Like Paul, we can look for signs of God's grace at work. This is the context of Paul's practical instruction on how to lead in the midst of any circumstance: "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love." (1 Corinthians 16:13) | 11/27/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

"When Life is not Picture Perfect" | In this message we look at two words found in Colossians chapter 3: Forbearing and Forgiving. Forgiveness is a redemptive response to being hurt or wounded. It is also an important foundation in our marriages and families and relationships. Our prayer is we could be extremely honest and transparent in all relationship- You don't have to wear a mask as if everything is picture perfect. But we are expected to Forgive as Christ Forgave us!. Those who are forgiven have the ability to forgive. | 11/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

"God's Big Story" | In this message we look at the "Meta-Narrative" of the Gospel, or The Big Story. In a post-modern generation people don't believe in a big story. What is remarkable about the Bible is it is written by over 60 authors but it is as if one hand is guiding the pen. In this message we look at 4 themes in the Bible: Creation, The Fall, Rescue, and Restoration and how we can find our story in His. | 11/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Today, as Clark Fork City Church prepares to launch a new church into Spokane, Washington, we look to Jesus, the true Captain. He is still drawing people with real issues and making them men and women of influence! | 10/9/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

"The Lost One" | The Lost One is a message that looks at the story of Zachaeous- the little man lost in a big crowd. Of all the people the Messiah of the World chooses to go to his house for dinner. This story accentuates Christ's eye for the one lost in the crowd. The fact that he would stop on his all important trip to Jerusalem to meet with One. God values 1 heart- it is evident in the trilogy of parables consisting of the lost son, the lost coin, and the lost sheep. "The Average Joe" | John Chapter 1:44-51 "Average Joe-Finding your Story in His Story." In this message we talk about the apostle Nathaniel who is hardly mentioned in the Bible. In fact his "calling" story is the only notable story about him him in the New Testament. God spoke a word to Nathaniel about how he saw him in the past and we learn the way God speaks to us about us, tells us everything about Him. He knows the plans he has for us- if you think your story is average than you are perfect for him to use. Will Rogers said "God must love the common man because he made so many of them." Nathaniel being an apostle is in no way average but on the other hand, we don't hear about any quarrels, requests to sit at God's Right hand, no outbursts or doubts of faith. He was simply there and actually church history tells us he became a missionary to a number of nations before he was martyred for his faith. Not bad for an "Average Joe." | 9/25/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

"Lessons From 9/11 That Our Nation Has Learned Or Needs To Learn | There are not many events simply known by the date they occurred on. At least not in my lifetime. The falling of the twin towers and other events that day are at the least a terrible tragedy and at most a prophetic moment in our nations history that caused us to stop and analyze our own lives and the course of our nation. In this difficult sermon we look at 9 things we could glean from that tragic day, now ten years ago. | 9/11/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Revealing God Through Real Life | We are called to be imitators of God and to walk in love, revealing His wisdom and great grace in day-to-day life. The practical reality of what that does and does not look like in our family relationships, and by extension our schools or places of business, is the focus of this passage. Its purpose is to help us walk in Paul's encouragement to not be "foolish," but rather to understand what the will of the Lord is." | 9/4/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Heavenly Vision | An encounter/vision of God can be one of the greatest motivators of faith. Obviously, when our eyes see the divine and shift from our own inadequacies we start to see differently. In this message we talk about the components of a God-Vision and how the amazing call of Isaiah could relate to our lives. If you have a vision but no task, you may be called a visionary. If you have a task with out a vision you have drudgery. But when you find your vision and your task you become a missionary. | 5/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Way we see the Problem is the Problem: Destroying Disillusionment with Christ-Centered Vision | In 1 Kings 6:8-23 we read a story of God's Prophet Elisha, who gets ambushed by the enemy. When his servant is fearful Elisha offers these words of help, "Fear not, there are more with us than there are with them!" The problem isn't the real problem, the place isn't the problem, the person isn't the problem; it is most often how we see the problem. Let's follow our Great Visionary Jesus and catch a bit of His vision. See the world through His eyes, problems won't go away but we will respond differently and have great success! | 5/15/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Celebrationg Mothers day we look at this great chapter that speaks about a woman who fears the Lord. What does it mean to "Fear" the Lord? What attributes might this woman have. We look at this subject as well as hear from two moms by way of testimony who share challenges and victories in Motherhood through God's Grace. | 5/8/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

What's So Great About the Resurrection? | Eph. 2:1-13 We all have a problem: apart from Jesus we are spiritually dead. The Bible says that we are not only dead but are actually "children of wrath." Wonderfully, the Bible also teaches that we who believe the gospel of Jesus Christ were also raised from our spiritual death to new life in Him! The result of this undeserved life of grace is that we bring great glory to our heavenly Father as we represent Him on the earth. | 5/1/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

I Am Barabbas | Matthew 27:15-26 How is it a notorious criminal could walk out of prison while the most innocent man who ever lived walk in? Jesus was sent to be crucified, the punishment that was waiting a murderer, named Barabbas. In this Easter message we look at 3 reasons Jesus would trade places with a criminal. John 8:36 says "if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed." Have you found that pardon yourself? The Cross and subsequent resurrection makes a way for all men to walk out of Death, because Christ walked into it, and out again on the third day. | 4/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

King of Kings | Palm Sunday is what we often refer to the day Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem on His Triumphant Entry. Matthew 21:1-17 tell the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem prior to his crucifixion. This was no ordinary day and no ordinary ride. Jesus was declaring His Kingship! Not an earthly king but the King of Kings. We look at 4-5 ways he declares His Kingship, not just for the Jews, but for the whole earth and for all time. By completing His mission he opened a brief door and season of Salvation. When he returns on a white horse as in Rev 19 it will be a very different entry, and that door of salvation will be closed! | 4/17/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Breaking Camp | Deuteronomy 1:7-8 The NIV translates this verse and command to Moses and the people as "You have stayed at this mountain long enough, BREAK CAMP and Go!" As a church we are in a season of breaking free from the past, breaking leadership barriers and breaking out into the unknown. We want to be a people that doesn't stay put and launches into God's plan and heed's His words to GO and make disciples of all nations. When we are effected by the gospel we cant help but break out into new territory. However it is easy to get stuck in place. We talk about three themes: 1)Breaking away from the known 2) Breaking away from the comfortable 3)Breaking the chains of religion as usual. We were also blessed in this message to announce we are more than preaching this message but putting it into practice, speaking into a Church Plant we will be doing in 2012 with NF and Jon and Becca Meek! | 4/10/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

God's Intoxicated Community | Eph. 5:18-21 The whole book of Ephesians is a picture of what God's church is called to be. Three things are clear from this passage: 1. We are called to be filled with God's Spirit, "intoxicated" with His presence. 2. We are called to live in community with one another, interdependent rather than independent in our approach to our faith. 3. We are God's and are inspired to live with a healthy awe and respect of Him. | 4/3/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Christ the Healer Pt. 2 | Healing wasn't just something Jesus did but who he is! In the old testament God said "I am the God who heals you." It seems easier for Christians to believe that Jesus can forgive sin, but a stretch to believe he still heals today. In this 2 part sermon series we look at 8 attributes of Jesus and his healing ministry. We want you to be like Peter and say, "If that is you Lord, tell me to come!" Hear the message with faith-like in Galatians 3 where Paul encourages the people to hear by faith, and not to receive by works of the Law. If you are wrestling with sickness in your body this message is for you. | 3/27/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Does God Still Heal? | A two week series on the subject of Divine Healing: One theologian said of Jesus "In the Gospels Jesus was either leaving a Healing, at a Healing or on his way to a Healing. Healing was not just something God did in the Bible but rather who He is. He told the Israelites, "I am the God who heals you." It was His name he gave himself! During these messages we explore the subject; Christ the Healer and specifically how and why healings took place in Christ's minstry and pray as we look at Jesus' life we will see how this gift applies to the church today. | 3/20/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Over Sanitized: keeping the main thing the main thing | Christ-Centered Revival continues this week with a look at a riveting chapter from Matthew 23 where Jesus blasts the Religious types for "Straining a Gnat, but Swallowing a Camel." In other words they were so careful, religious, zealous and legalistic in small things but missed the big picture. For example, they wouldn't walk near a grave but they stoned Stephen to death and were constantly criticizing Jesus' miracles or waiting for him to do something terrible like heal someone on the Sabbath. This applies to our life when we argue and debate over minor issues and miss the major ones. In this message we look at four revival killers of our faith: 1. Projecting the worst case scenario 2. Becoming pre-occupied with the imperfect 3. Becoming cynical about church or peoples motives 4. Continually Questioning but never committing. These four traits will cause us to "swallow camels" so to speak and miss out on the great things that God is doing in our midst. Lets continue after Jesus, making him the Center of all we do. Stephen Covey said "the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing!" Jesus, be the Center! | 2/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

This Precious Blood | Christ's Blood spilled blood and death was the greatest price ever paid and the most sacrificial event of all time. We take a look at 1 Peter 1:18-21 where Peter talks about Christ's Precious Blood. It wasn't ordinary blood. It wasn't like the countless sacrifices of the Old Testament. To be Precious means: to be Rare, Highly Esteemed and High in Price. Each drop bought me a million years. If you receive Jesus you receive the benefit of the Sacrifice. A redeemer is a person who pays the debt of someone else. Paul speaks of "our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ who gabe for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own posession who are zealous for good works." He also says "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us." We are the Sinners, He was the Ransom, His blood the Price. | 1/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Time to be Tested | Matthew 14:22-33 It is a sure thing that if we are walking by faith we are either walking out of, into, or in the middle of a Testing of our Faith. In this sermon we look at Peter's unusual question to Jesus where he asked "Lord, if that is you, tell me to come to you." In a way he is saying "I would rather walk on the waves of uncertainty than sail on a ship of unbelief...if it means getting closer to Jesus." The Secret To God-Empowered Relationships | The Bible is filled with wisdom regarding our relationships, yet what is the secret to actually living out verses like, "Love your neighbor as yourself," or, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?" Hebrews 13:1-5 gives more of these God-breathed, inspired instructions and also gives us the secret to actually fulfilling them! Spirit AND Truth | In this message from Isaiah 49 Josh talks about God making us a "select arrow." There are many wonderful similarities between God's people and arrows. As we strive to be a church family walking in both "word" and "spirit" we must realize the necessity to walk in God's power (by His Spirit) and also be directed by His Word. If one or the other are missing we can end up "missing the mark" in what God has laid before us to accomplish in our community, city and the world. When You Have a Song, You Can Sing It Anywhere | Acts 16:22-30 After a serious beating, Paul and Silas found themselves locked in a maximum security prison because they were preaching the gospel. As we read this chapter we see they are struck down but not destroyed. The Holy Spirit brings special power to overcome any obstacle and gives us hope in the worst of circumstances. Life in God's spirit turns a prison sentence into a praise service, and a suicide into a salvation. Listen in to the third week of Powered by God as we continue our series on the Holy Spirit and receive encouragement from this amazing story in God's word. | 9/26/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Questions For The Charismaniac | What about the Holy Spirit? What do we believe about baptism in the Holy Spirit and what on earth is speaking in tongues about? It is in the Bible. But rarely expounded upon and rarely seen practiced and if so it is by what we might consider trail-mix Christians (Fruits, Nuts and Flakes). This teaching looks at what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit and addresses our church beliefs as well as a peek at common beliefs/misconceptions about the Holy Spirit. | 9/19/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Wind Is Blowing Again | When God's Spirit is on the move everything changes. For the disciples they needed it. Jesus told them wait in Jerusalem until you receive the Power of the Holy Spirit. That's just what happened. The Holy Spirit blew in, started the church, they spoke with new tongues, people were in awe, and prophecy was actually fulfilled. This was more than a cool church service. It meant Christ had not only become the sacrificial lamb but also ascended to the Father, completing his priestly duties, replacing an old order of religious ritual while making access for us to be forgiven and filled with POWER! This message is more of a heart cry than a teaching, calling us to full relationship with the Holy Spirit. | 9/12/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
