Great!

This is a very good podcast idea. Great classical masterpieces in their entirety played beautifully for free; the concept is almost too unreal. But I would like to say that the reason I'm giving it a four out of five is because you guys should update it more! Wonderful music. Keep up the good work!

Jupiter Symphony

iTunes, you owe us the missing Jupiter Symphony! (The second greatest piece of music ever written--after Beethoven's Ninth.) What is your problem?

The missing performance information

DW's website says: "Six master composers, six symphonies, a star conductor and a leading orchestra are the main ingredients of this remarkable musical feast. The six-part podcast presents exceptional works from musical history and their creators. The series kicks off with "An Alpine Symphony" by Richard Strauss. It is followed by Symphony No. 3 (Eroica) by Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 (Rhenish), Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 4, Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 8 and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, the Jupiter Symphony. The works are presented by star conductor Kent Nagano and the internationally successful DSO Berlin. The concerts were recorded in the Philharmonie in Berlin." The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin is the post-1989 name of the Radio-Symphonie-Orchester Berlin which once was the RIAS-Symphonie-Orchester. Its history goes back to 1946; RIAS being Radio in the American Sector. The orchestra has had several famous music directors beginning with Ferenc Fricsay and including Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Chailly, and Vladimir Ashkenazy.
