should be more popular
While I wouldn't call mr hess the most exciting host ever, this show really stands alone from other mixed drink podcasts. It's informative, covers a very nice range of material and the background information the host gives is almost always useful or interesting. This is more a show for nerds who want to really educate themselves on fundamentals behind the thought process, and there's no other cocktail podcast still really doing that, wish there was. (if that sounds good check out cocktails on the fly and brilliant cocktails if you haven't, just don't believe there have been episodes since 2008)
Best cocktail podcast
This is the podcast that single-handedly took me from a cocktail ignoramous to complete snob. Robert is an expert on what he is talking about, and he does it in the most informative and authoritative way possible, with both the history and the theory behind the cocktails. His recipes are also the best I've found anywhere. If you want to learn cocktails, start from the beginning, but this is the best way to go.
Good cocktails, boring host
This host is so boring and while I like the cocktails he makes, but he almost puts me to sleep.
